We are proud to introduce you to:

OUR GUYS
Cedar Valley Farms

FRASIER...GONE NOW BUT ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS

It is with sad hearts that we must revise the one and only FRASIER'S bio on our website.
Frasier was (and still is!) our "Main Guy" for the years he was at Cedar Valley.
Although he hadnt been used at stud for the last couple years, he was our good will Ambassador for those coming to view our Newfs. Frasier loved EVERYBODY!!
He put his big old head on all visitors when they sat, and hoped all would pet him.
He rolled over for belly rubs from total strangers, and was a true joy to be around.
Frasier was everything a Newf should be, and more.

Sadly, Frasier ruptured a disc in his back and had to be put down due to the severe pain he was in. Our vet;s opinion was that he had suffered a catastrophic injury to his back, and the the prognosis would be incredibly bad for a dog his size.

Frasier left us just like he had joined us, with the family all around him and licking our hands.

Frasier went for one last ride in his beloved "deer mobile" (pictured above), and was buried overlooking the pond

Goodbye Frasier, may you swim and run pain free until we meet again at the Bridge.

CVF'S Grizzlys Gentle Ben

Grizzy was one of the first "home bred" dogs we produced here at Cedar Valley, so he holds a special place in our hearts. Grizzy Dad is our very own Frasier, pictures at the top of this page.Grizz is a wonderful example of a brown Newf, with an exceptional personality and temperament, a great head and topline and superb movement. As we changed the bloodlines and the colors we were working with, we began to use Grizzy less and less in our breeding program, but it seemed a shame to neuter such a great Newf simply because we weren't working with Brown Newfs quite as much as we had in the past. We were thrilled to have Grizzy go to our friend's and fellow Newfoundland breeders Joe and Marcia Blaine's Highlander Newfoundlands, and be incorporated into their breeding program. Marcia and Joe have always been extremely fond of Grizz, and Grizz has always liked going to visit at Marcia and Joe's in the past. Grizz stayed at Highlander for a couple years, and has now been retired from Marcia and Joe's, and is living happily with a family where he has kids of his very own to play with and love.
